Wooly Boys Wows Wal-Mart Wooly Boys video/DVD release and autograph session attracts more than 500 people
BISMARCK, N.D. - More than 500 customers stood in line at the Bismarck Wal-Mart store on Tuesday, April 26th to pick up a copy of the newly released "Wooly Boys" video/DVD and meet two primaries from the film's production team.
Leszek Burzynski, director, and Ken Promersberger, executive producer, were on hand to greet customers and provide autographed copies of the film and promotional posters. The session, originally scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., was extended to 3:15 p.m. to accommodate the demand.
"We chose to hold this event in Bismarck due to the overwhelming response we received from Bismarck audiences during the film's theatrical release," said Ken Promersberger. "The positive response to both the theatrical and video releases has been truly remarkable."
"Wooly Boys" was theatrically released to Bismarck audiences in January of 2004 and ran for 15 consecutive weeks at the Grand Theatre. During its opening weekend, "Wooly Boys" boasted the second highest per-screen average in the nation (Out of 106 films according to Variety's weekend Box Office, January 23-25, 2004).
Following the April 26 release, "Wooly Boys" videos and DVDs are now available nationally through most major retailers.
Set in the heart of the picturesque North Dakota Badlands, "Wooly Boys" is a contemporary family film telling the humorous and moving story surrounding two cantankerous sheep ranchers, Stoney (Peter Fonda) and Shuck (Kris Kristofferson), and Stoney's city-bred grandson, Charles (Joe Mazzello).
